Product Review: Garmin nuvi 760
Garmin nuvi 760 GPS Navigation Bluetooth Device also includes optional MSN Direct and comes with Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map. Optional plug-in SD cards let you add additional features to enhance your travel experience including language translation and detailed travel guides. Garmin nuvi 760 comes with one of the best routing engine and multi-destination routing abilities. It makes your navigation like a breeze wherever your are. Garmin nuvi 760 includes many “must have” entertainment and travel tools including MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), JPEG picture viewer, currency converters and more. With nuvi 760’s wireless FM transmitter, you can hear audio, including voice prompts, MP3s and audio books, through your vehicle’s stereo.

Traffic data is about 75% accurate in San Diego, but that’s at the mercy of the data source, not the GPS unit. Traffic messaging for sat nav devices is now available for residents along Australia’s eastern seaboard.
Traffic issues are displayed on the main map screen with different colors and an appropriate traffic icon on your route as you approach them. An icon in the lower right will also show you how much time traffic is causing your delay.
Quite why it’s animated I haven’t quite figured out as you rarely see the animation. At junctions you might see a jerky side view of the car as you turn but it adds nothing and is a waste of resource in my opinion. Quite simply, it is really hard to go wrong with the Garmin Nuvi 760. It offers a great package of features including Bluetooth hands free calling, an FM transmitter, included and semi-integrated traffic receiver, Text to speech, and multi destination routing in a product that is physically very well designed and attached to a mount which is second to none. Quite an excellent little unit. Its small light weight and quite durable.
View map detail, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant color. Its sunlight-readable, 4.3-inch display is easy to read — from any direction. It is great for traveling, especially to new areas. But the hands-free lacks a little sophistication.
